1) I suggest you redownload the game. If it is a torrent, that's even better because only the corrupted file will be fixed. 2) SmartPlay, there is no more junkies client anymore, correct? All it is now is just the game, with the correct patches? If so, life is so much easier!

Thank goodness I still have an older copy of junkies client with CS:GO. I guess I should download this CS:GO release and wait for the new patch, right? It would be even better if the new crack and the CS:GO we didn't need to update the game, so we can play it in LAN or online with a VPN gaming program so it never dies. :) If you have LAN questions, PM me.

Actually, I am probably pretty lucky. I only updated my game and patched it about 2-3 weeks before junkies client got defunctional. See my version below. Protocol version 12306Exe version 1.23.0.6 (csgo)Exe build: 14:11:04 May 31 2013 (5308) (730) I'm going to copy it to my other PC and see if I can still get LAN to work. :)

When I'm not playing CS:GO, I like to play DOTA 2 a lot. I actually played DOTA 1 for years, until DOTA 2 came out. If you are interested, let me know. Not for me. I manually moved the entire junkies client folder into my F drive, (non C), and it works fine. Just make sure your CS GO is a sub directory within your Junkies Client. I've also used the junkies client on a USB stick on my other PC for on the fly LAN gaming, so I am sure it is not required to put it on the C drive!

I have steam running in background, sometimes it gets rid of the black screen faster.

It hurts because I know the truth, and because people got frustrated with the game, the patches, the black screens, they take out the anger on me, when really, really....they should go here and let the developer know so he can make it the best badass program out there. There needs to be a better way of updating and patching this game. It is unfortunate you had to run "install/update" twice in a row, and then "patch" again, and each time get thrown back into the queue. Interestingly enough, due to the number of youtubers I see with black screens, and game not working, they dare say my video is fake, which is too bad because I know what I did worked for real. It just seems that within the last few weeks, there has been a lot of bugs, and a lot of people with issues with the game, but I think its getting better now. :)
