IMHO, this is just a random bug where the client is closed but the engine is still busy shutting down. In my PC it takes 50% CPU resource. :D @SmartPlay: Could you fix the (x) button (or make a new Quit button) to make sure the client engine is shut down completely before exitting?

Easy, mate. After each update you have to patch the game, then everything will be fine.

Sorry, my mistake. After creating server.cfg file and server shortcut, you have to run it the first time. Then exit and start installing sourcemod and metamod. I've updated the guide, you should clean up metamod and sourcemod (delete add-on folder, then go to cfg folder and delete sourcemod folder), re-update the server and try again.

~sigh~ Don't you understand English? I wrote "copy all files in server folder" to CSS DS folder, not "copy whole folder". Then go to the css_ds/bin folder, extract the Steam.dll_rev.7z, overwrite the existing steam.dll file.

Please read and follow the steps carefully, don't miss anything. I've successfully set-up 2 servers for csgo and css, the problem is i'm using wi-fi and it's pretty unstable, so they're just for testing.

Why? It will certainly work. I've been hosting a csgo deathmatch server and connect to it on the same PC (sometimes someone on the Internet joins my server too). Maybe you're using hldsupdatetool and download wrong version of srcds, missed some step or did something wrong. :huh:

Run the reg fix and make sure you run the shortcut as administrator. Fix your internet connection and try again. Don't log in to Junkies forum while the client is working. STEAM IS ABSOLUTELY NOT NECESSARY, if you don't play any game on Steam, don't install it. Just make sure there is -steam parameter in the shortcut properties (like below) and run it as administrator. This is exactly the problem I had. :D @FadyWilliam: Make sure you have -steam parameter in the game shortcut, and remove the -insecure if it exist.

Try this: Press Windows key + R, type in "regedit" (w/o quotes) and Enter. Then browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam, change the Language value to English.

It helps nothing and not necessary, just run the client as administrator and you would be able to install CS:GO anywhere on your HDD (including C:\Windows). B) :D

As I remember, my PC started having problems after I installed the chipset driver (v9.4.0.1017) from Toshiba website. Hi guys, Im posting here in hope for a quick answer. My laptop is having random BSOD error, I sent it for maintenance and they returned it 2 days ago with a 32-bit version of win8, but my laptop has 4gb RAM so I had to reinstall 64bit version. After a few hours updating Windows, installing drivers (from manufacturer's website) and some softwares, a blue screen appeared with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. It happens very randomly, but mostly after I leave my PC idle for 5-10 minutes. I've just refreshed Windows 8, haven't installed anything yet, everything seems fine up to now. No need to bother him, I can explain. These are exactly what I did on my Windows 8 Pro 64bit from installing the client to updating and play the games. Disable my antivirus (KIS 2013) for a moment to install Junkies Client. Add Junkies Client folder to my AV whitelist (to avoid disruption) Start the client as admin, leave the Installation Directory as default location. Click Install/Update as usual. When it finished, click Patch. Upon patching, the client will generate a unique client.dll on your PC (you can't use it on another comp) Then create game shortcut using the client. Run the shortcut as admin to play.About Steam, it's not required to play non-Steam CS, it only cause problems. And if you never installed Steam, no need to run the reg fix. I have Steam installed only to download custom maps from workshop, after that I quit Steam and run the reg fix to play non-Steam CS:GO.
