I am also having the same problem. Blackscreen for a few seconds then crashes back to the desktop. I tried the blackscreen fix for 10 times already and I'm still stuck with this problem :( One thing that I noticed is that client.dll is not generated properly when I patch the game. The progress bar says "client.dll: 1%" and then it skips away downloading other components. Maybe the reason why me and the others have this similar problem it's because the client.dll is not generated properly. I tried this on another computer and CS:GO runs just fine. Here, when I patched the game I believe that the client.dll is generated properly because the progress bar says "client.dll: 1%..... 100%". I hope that this problem will be figured out soon.
