For such a small update ... ! WOW, it's taking so much time for admins to crack it .. It's been about 24 hrs since the server I play on shut down to update, it's saying "STEAM validation rejected" ... Why is taking this long since it's just a small update ? Anyway, thanks again.

People I just posted this to let you know that whatever problem your having is because there's a new patch, SmartPlay will upload the new patch soon, so Please be patient and don't post posts like "When will it be available ?" or "Why can't I connect to servers" or "shit shitty shit". I played for an hour and a half, I didn't have any problems or crashes what so ever ... Who ever is having problem it's either your PC, or the server you connect to ... BTW, the new "AIM" shit ... Is SHIT, and sucks ...! Other than this, the patch is good, with no problems. Thanks again smart, and thank you for telling Revo's team our regards, you are the BEST :)

Thanks for the new update, but I think there is something wrong though, I'm trying to connect to a server that I always play on, I'm getting the message "STEAM validation rejected", I know for sure that the server is running NON-STEAM, and I never had this problem before. Is there anything I should do to make this work ?

You don't need to connect Junkies to Steam so you can have your "Clan Tag" << Not sure about this "Shift +Tab" thing anyway, I have a package that you can replace some files with, it's about 4 MB, so I can't attach it right now, but I'll upload it somewhere and give you the link if you want it, I always get my clan tag with it. I don't have Steam, and I get my clan tag using this package ! Is that fine with you ? does this helps you ? tell me so I can upload the package.

Thank for your time Smart I was running the game on windows 7, and every thing was just good, I used to run both system (Linux & Windows 7) at the same time, but I just hate Microsoft, and every thing that is related to it, not to mention how great a Linux system can be in most condition, I got tired of Windows in general, it is the only thing that might get me a heart attack :s ....! Anyway, I guess I'll take your advice and look up some VM for Linux and install some damn windows to play the game, in the mean while I'm going to try and debug the installation as well as the game, to figure out what the problem is, Linux can be so useful in this :unsure: I'll update the post whenever I came up with a solution. Thanks again, and thanks for the updates, you are really fast with those :D

Well, I don't really know, I'm actually new to this side of Linux, I mean Gaming ! Anyway, I'm pretty sure the installer in in a good condition, because I always use the same one on windows, and I never had a problem with it ! As for Wine, it is up-to-date, and I have updated every possible thing on Linux ! I installed the game several times, the "Game Check" is always giving me the same report ... Does any one here really tried the game on Linux ? I mean what if the game source is not compatible with Linux ? as I know, not all CS:S versions are the same, so would it make a difference if I downloaded the game from another source ? Did anybody tested Evo's emulator on Linux ? is it just me who can't run the game on Linux ? Any help is appreciated !

Hi, just before I made a game check I reinstalled the game completely, Then I installed update 40 I didn't copy any new maps yet, so It's a clean installation anyway, just so you know, this game installer, is the one I've been playing since always, so the installer is not the problem. Hi, I just switched my system to Linux Ubuntu 11.4 I wasn't really worried as I always knew that wine can get CSS to work just fine ... I got sick of Windows, you can't but hate it ! Anyway, I updated WINE to the last version, and my system is up-to-date. I installed the game updated it with the last patch, copied all the maps I don't have to game directory, a short-cut was created on my desktop, double click and there was the game launcher ...! I thought that I did every thing correct, and the game is fine, I was wrong, when I clicked on "start", the game launched and the I waited the menus to appear after the loading is done ! well, after like 3 seconds, the game just quits, and switches me to desktop ! idk what's wrong, I mean the game is not giving me any errors or messages ! it just switches me to desktop (and the game is not running) it goes completely out ! I tried the following and the problem is still the same : 1- I added the font Tahoma, as all topics on boards tells so, but this is just Steam related I guess, and I don't have one :D 2- I installed DirectX (up-to-date), as I thought it might help ! Any ideas ? please I'm desperate ! Thanks in advance.

I downgraded to update V38, the game worked OK I reinstalled update V39, the game is OK now, although I couldn't understand why it didn't at first place, but, who cares, I can play now ;) Thanks for the efforts :(

Hi, I was just playing on some server I always play on, I just read that the server is updating to V63 & then the server shuts down and then it's using V63 and I can't get in cause I have V62 !!? I mean c'mon what's wrong ? I just updated to V62 like 24 hrs ago !!!? Answers !? Thanks BTW.

Hi, I just downloaded the new update 38 When I launch the game it crashes to desktop & give the following message : Engine Error ( No Permission to run 'cstrike' ) I didn't have any problems with update 37 ! Any Advice ? plz ! OK ! This problem was my fault, but then, another thing came up ...! there's no name enabler, why is that ? I can't change my name thanks for the update !
