NOP!..."steam validation rejected" on this server too: 109.110.95.182:27027 God Dang it! i got like 50 fkn of the newest games man but this is my FAVORITE ONE and i really want to play it! ... :(

Yes i had the wrong version forget everything now i got the RIGHT version i did a CLEAN INSTALL and now the problem is i can NOT connect to any servers because i got the "steam validation rejected" error i can not connect even to the server u tell people to connect to (connect 89.205.123.68)...it will be good if you now and please can tell us a "GOOD AND PROVEN SERVER" to connect so we can see if the game actually works.Thanks.

Okay i got it installed in a diferent location and it seems to work and i can see some servers (theyre NOT really CLOSE to me like before..now i get only 180 ping and up before EVEN 40!)anyway EACH TIME i try to connect to one of those far away servers i STILL GET THE "newer version bla,bla,bla" error"...and when i typed VERSION in my console this is what i get: " PROTOCOL version 15 exe version 1.0.0.58 (cstrike) exe build 16:28:01 FEB 02 2011 (4426) (240) " thats hwat i get. and YES i already applied the patch. :-(

Okay..i already REMOVED every single folder or whatever form CSS in my cpu..then DOWNLOADED and install the "new already patched WHOLE game" from Smartplay..and guess what..i still get the "the server u trying to connect is new version bla,bla,bla,"....so PLEASE FOR THE LAST TIME...POST THE LINKS AGAIN TO DOWNLOAD THE GAME AGAIN AND INSTRUCTIONS (if any) what to do AFTER is downloaded and installed...sadly this is the last time im gonna try this...im giving up on the game due to the "no new patches" because it appears that "downloading the game again" doesnt actually works for nothing..OTHER THAN LOSING MY "thousaends" of MAPS!!!! :angry:

Its 1.0.0.5.8 or some like that...now if that is an "old" version...how come its an OLD VERSION if i ALREADY DOWNLOADED and INSTALLED from the links you provided??? what do i have to do to change the version..IF I NEED TO of course! Thanks for being patience smart youre cool guy....

Smartplay you'd be "surprised" to know that SOME OF US actually have MANY PATCHES in our machines...(i think i even have all the way back to 40 something!) that said dont ask "where" LOl.Now for the serious part I ALREADY DOWNLOADED AND INSTALLED the game you told us to download and the links u gave us and STILL ge tthe same (stu)pid "new version bla..bla..bla " error.So what in the he(ll) is wrong with this? do we need to CLEAN UP COMPLETLY ht cpu form PREVIOUS CSSS installations and THEN installl the "new" one? or WHAT?? please help us.

Ok this is FUSTRATING as hell..i ALREADY DOWNLOADED the "new" game and installed and guess what? I STILL get the "the newer version bla,bla,bla shit"..so apparently THERE IS NOT a NEW UPDATE on the WHOLE "NEW" DOWNLOADED game that smartplay is providing..please prove me wrong?

It appears that we are going to be UNABLE to play our beloved and adictive game ALL THIS LONG WEEKEND due to patch 53 NOT being ready yet.If we all people send ONE DOLLAR each to the guys making the patches i bet we'd have the patches in NO TIME everytime... :unsure:

Ive been switching between patch 50 and 51 with little results...one day the game works more or less ok and the other crashes...now,its no use to switch back and forth...patch 51 seems to be useless and this is been for a long time now :-(

Ill never get tired of saying thanks to this guys that out of their good hearts reply to people like me.Thank you smart and give my regards to revcrew we know theyre working hard developing the patches.

With patch 51?...yes of course! (sad LOL) the weird part its that it was working more or less fine and all of a sudden the crashes started again like in a horror movie..(sighs) before when this happened i was back and forth with 50 to 51 patch and somehow i managed to make it work again (patch 51 ) but now no more.

Ok...so how we still doing on patch 52? please? is it out is it still on the process?...with so many responses and comments i kind of get lost...i repeat how were doing on patch 52?... :ph34r:

I have resolved the problem.A good thing to do is to UPDATE the windows 7 and AFTER that then install the patch.That appears to do the trick.I had the patch and update windows AFTER and still was bad...so i re-patched and that did the trick with the weird "disconnect: change ur name" error and crashes. Only thing left is the no internet servers error but like they said the'yre still working on it,but at least now i can play manually adding the servers to favorites or some like that.

my name is: contero like i said no spaces before or after no weird characters no capitals or whatever...i think this error its NOT new with some patches since i remember i got the SAME error like 4 patches ago...it couldnt be resolved untill next patch then. Now it seems to be the same problem... :( :ph34r:

Ok..after installing the 49 patch and the "crashes fix" recommended here still couldnt get the game not to crash...then i UPDATED windows 7 as recommended and now i got no crashes but still can NOT connect to many servers get the "please change ur name" error when my name is perfectly fine,no spaces before,weird characters,bla,bla,bla...so im out of options now..im stuck with the "change ur name" error but i can still play in a couple of servers fine...any ideas? :-(

SMARTPLAY...nobody is blaming you (well..not me anyway) and i understand people is working to have this resolve wich is always appreciated.But at the same time you have to understand that people waited for LONG to get the new patch without being able to play our beloved game that when we finally get the patch is frustrating to have it working 2 days and then bam! broken again... However keep up the good work and give the rev-crew our thanks for their effort.

hey i think im "diferent" because i get the "Please change your name" error...already installed the 49 patch and already installed the "fix" for the crashes. This is cr_ap im really frustrated theres ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with my name,no spaces,before or after,no weird characters etcetera...am i the only one with this "new" error?

Yep..so long waiting for patch 49...worked a couple of days and now back to crashes!.. i just hope its not going to take another month to fix this... :-(

We really appreciate all efforts to resolve this, but UP UNTIL NOW just to let you know...NOTHING seems to be working to fix this.Lets just wait for the new patch :-( hopefully it'll be soon.

Bad patch the 48...too many crashes.And apparently not only in a couple of users...my game too crashes right after finding the servers. :-( Plz make patch 49 perhaps?

yep..its frustrating not being able to play AT ALL..game keeps crashing...need the 47 patch urgently!..i need my CSS really bad...we're CSS junkies remember? LOL keep up the good work and thanks for your kindness to share this patchs!

The only reason i was using vista is because of the DX 10 or 11 for the games that you can NOT get on XP.But since there's windows 7 now i guess no use on keeping up with Vista...i hate it too. Im gonna have to install XP again and windos 7 and DUAL boot...fk vista i had it now with it! :-( Anyways thank you very much for your help on this forums its very well appreciated! keep up the good work!

Well,its good to know that wich then makes me look for other thing to blame then...bad thing i just ran out of ideas.One interesting thing tough.....when i reinstall the game BEFORE ANY patches at all i can start it up good but of course CAN NOT connect to any servers cause of the "newer version..bla,bla..." error.Well,then i patch it...either with 38 or 39 patch after i patched it game doesn't even make it to see any servers,keeps crashing and VISTA SAYS "hl2.exe crashed...fault module: steamclient.dll"!!! already done and DISABLED a thousand things to see if can make it work..and its proven useless. Ill have to be honest and say that at least ON MY LAPTOP the patch works and the only crash that i have is right AFTER i close the game...says "hl2.exe crashed" but this is AFTER I CLOSED the game so i guess it doesn't matter. I dont want to play this game on my laptop i want to be able to keep playing it on my desktop as before...something is wrong i got NO problem with many other and WAY NEWER games. I got: phenom quad core/nvidia 460 gtx SC ectetera... :-(
