ok i downloaded and patched the game from the client and it works ..i try to connect to server
and i get this :

do i need to update or the server is not updated ?

Hello, I did everything as the instruction says, I even deleted and reinstaled all 5.07 gb + patched. Still after launching as admin after 3 sec pops out "This game requires steam!" Me and my friend tried different things to solve this problem, we read all posts connected to this problem and still could'nt solve the problem. I also installed css from AviaRa, I installed, launched and when I started for example a map with bots I got ingame message "Steam must be launched to run this game" - I forgot how exactly it was, but still both css didn't run cuz of that, yes my steam was off all the time + I checked in task manager in process. I also put Junkies map in my antivirus as excluded file location.

check for your name in the game options is it "GREECE BOY FROM CSS" ?

i faced this problem before my name was "SYRIAN HITMAN" but i was getting the same message you have

i checked for the name in the options and it was planetcss or something like that so i changed it and i could join servers

I have the same problem... Black Screen and after 10 sec. the Message This game requires steam.... i have already tried the reg fixes and the other instuctions but nothing... I use Windows 8.

"Alt+Tab" and "This Game requires Steam" message window in background... I've tried .reg files... WITH Steam opened... closed... logged... NOTHING... same error... always....

 

Using Win8 x64 anyw could help??? PLEASE!!!

Ok I am writing this for last time and from now on I'll ignore this problem.

1. Close everything.

2. Open regedit and find all keys that contain "Steam" in it.

3. Delete them one by one.

4. Restart your PC.

5. Delete /csgo/bin/client.dll

6. Run Junkies Client and click Install / Update with Verify All option checked.

7. When that finishes click Patch.

8. Make shortcut.

9. Play the game.

 

If after this you don't success running the game then you can consider buying it :)

    Well my friend.. thanks anyway... did EVERYTHING... all ok... but entering the game, makes the screen black... nothing happens... ALT+TAB and same windows... "Error! This game requires Steam!" ...

     

    SAD... too sad... what could be happening? If you could help... I'd be thankful!
