Same here, I noticed that DEP (Data Execution Prevention – on newer operating systems)
is blocking the revLoader.exe as potential threat. I tried to set revLoader.exe
(1. Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance > Data Execution Prevention.

 2. Select "Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select:"

 3. Select "Add", navigate to revLoader.exe, and add it to the exception list.)

but it sad that “This program must run with data execution protection (DEP) enabled. You cannot turn

off DEP for this programâ€. I assume that if you patch the game again and before you run it set exception

for the revLoader.exe. I will try it later.. As soon as the kids fall asleep.

No there is no use of it, DEP keep blocking it which is strange...

If DEP notices a program on your computer using memory incorrectly, it closes the program and
notifies you. So real question is why DEP is blocking CS GO, SmartPlay any answers?

Solution for me was to turn off internet when u start CS GO, for now I

cannot play multiplayer till further resoultion, but every time I start

it with internet working it crashed and everytime wihout internet it

works

PS I am using WIN 8 too

I can confirm this, im having the same problem. The game start but crash a few seconds later but if i turn the internet off it works. Tested on Windows 8 x86

Guys, I got mine fixed. what i did was that i copies all files in junkies folder/steamapps/common into steam's folder i had installed into Steam/steamapps/common. Then i took my friend's ID who had bought this game through steam and downloaded and updated it. Then i again copies to junkies folder at initial location and ran junkies client and just updated it. And tada it worked again. So basically i just updated it to latest steam version through steam and then patched it again.
