Posted September 7, 201113 yr comment_1024 So everything has been working fine until earlier today. I applied the latest update and was able to play for the past few days and all of a sudden today, the game crashed when I threw a grenade. Ever since then when I start it up, it gives me the message "hl2.exe has stopped working." It seems to pop up as soon as I move the mouse after the main menu has loaded up and everything. I tried uninstalling completely and reinstalling. The original css installation file works without any patches but I can't join any games since it's an older version. But as soon as I apply the latest patch, the message pops up and it crashes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

December 18, 201113 yr comment_1837 And if new update will be still crashing give us Game Check report (it's option in launcher), but first try disabling antivirus (check quarantine, because it could block something) and run game as Administrator.
