April 13, 201312 yr comment_8477 In Windows Vista/7/8, the Program Files directories are a restricted location and require administrator privileges to make changes. This error typically occurs when the launcher does not have sufficient write privileges for your installation directorySo I think, as long as you run the client as admin, you can even install CSGO in C:/Windows. I tried it myself and success. :D
