Posted November 2, 201311 yr comment_14380 Hy guys!I want to bind a command to a key that will put something behind my name...for example:My current name in v34 CS:S is: "L33tGuy"...and I want to be able to put a clan tag or something like that behind it by just pressing a buttonso after pressing the button it should look like this: "L33tGuy |ProGamerClan"I could use this in my config...so people could just press a button ,and they would instantly have "|N3XUS ARMY" or something similarly stupid behind their names :DMy question is:Is there a command (or anything..for example an alias) ,that will do the job?
November 4, 201311 yr comment_14408 Alias ? I don't think so, cuz aliases are for "quick" run, like changing maps.(ex. typing dd2 in console will change map to de_dust2)But You must Configure them. So as far as I know, I'll say no, you cant do that. Because the Tag should be configured properly, from the file, not in-game.
November 5, 201311 yr Author comment_14469 I don't wanna change the tag in-game ...it would be pre-set in a config file (in this case the autoexec)....aand it wouldn't really be a "tag" it would be just some extra text...I mean I know this could be done in python...coz for example in DeToCs ,the script has to get the name of a player and display it...and the "command" (or idk how to name it) is: $username for a player's name in python so i think that u could get that username and add a pre-defined text to it...The question is:Is the same thing or something similar doable with just base source engine commands ,that I can simply put in my cfg file?
