hey. i installed the final verion of cs and the latest patch 49. everything looked fine . i played for 30 sec and the game kicked me. hl.exe error was written . what have i have to do ?

I had the same problem, then i update my win7 and is ok.

Blank server list here. :wacko:

me too, after reinstall of css + 49, still is blank list, sometimes got "no connection" but there is connection .. will check out the .dll fix

I really don't know how toy people can't het it working. I think there is something different with the OS.

It was always working for me, but right now its always crashing. I have windows vista 32bits. Anyone help me?

I turned off the firewall and also the antivirenprogramm.Nach update the server list is no longer before she left.

hey i think im "diferent" because i get the "Please change your name" error...already installed the 49 patch and already installed the "fix" for the crashes.

 

This is cr_ap im really frustrated theres ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with my name,no spaces,before or after,no weird characters etcetera...am i the only one with this "new" error?

Can't you people understand that rev-crew is having hard time with fixing the errors. It is not my foult. If it was my emulator then you could blame me but right now you can't do that.

SMARTPLAY...nobody is blaming you (well..not me anyway) and i understand people is working to have this resolve wich is always appreciated.But at the same time you have to understand that people waited for LONG to get the new patch without being able to play our beloved game that when we finally get the patch is frustrating to have it working 2 days and then bam! broken again...

However keep up the good work and give the rev-crew our thanks for their effort.

Anyway this crash think is not affecting 100% of the players.

From 100 people 10 are having trouble with crashes. I've got lot testers from this forum that reported me no crashes occurred. So there is something missing from the Windows of that users who are having crashes.

smarty i played with manyfun since update 48 with winxp(i have to delete checksum5 first,& rev.client.txt in the game folder everytime before starting the game) until now this morning it crashes saying hl.exe has encountered a problem ,now i install update 49 and will report you after,much thanks.

smarty it doesn't work,so i reinstall the whole game with new update & it still craches, so i replace the steam client.dll, now it works ,you are real genius,i love you :D :D :D

OK i readed but my game still crashing

 

I yesterday have C:/ format and instaled WinXP(MX8.1 deleted unnescesary files)

i install game(i have this file ~6 months)

then install path 48, now i install 49 and your file for 32bit windows

But i copied all maps and config folder

 

What wrong ?

OMG LOL I am guessing you people are still missing files from Windows :S
