Hello fellows Junkies. First of all, I want to give a BIG thank to SmartPlay for bringing us a great game and zther, dzida, Venom...for helping everyone fixing errors. We all are people who wants to play CSGO but unable or don't want to buy it :D. I want to bring us one more step closer to be like other legit Steam users: Able to download and play custom maps from Steam Workshop.

I. PREPARATION:
1. Steam: Of course, it is required to download CSGO maps. And a Steam account also, if you don't have an account, create one here.
2. A successfully patched and working CSGO copy: I believe you got it.

II. INSTRUCTION:
1. First, you should login to Steam and go to Steam Workshop, or go to the link below and log in, then browse and subscribe to your desired maps (click the [+] button on each map).

2. In LIBRARY section on Steam, you have to create a non-steam shortcut to the game: Click ADD A GAME => Add a Non-Steam Game...

3. A new window appears, check on Counter-Strike Global Offensive and click ADD SELECTED PROGRAMS.

4. Now right-click on the shortcut you just created, choose Properties. Then change JunkiesLoader.exe to csgo.exe and click CLOSE.

5. Keep Steam running, go to Junkies Client folder and run the disablesteam registry fix. Now you can go back to Steam window and click PLAY. Upon launching the game, you should see a couple of intro screens right away (no black screen). Click PLAY => OFFLINE WITH BOTS as usual, then switch to MAPS WORKSHOP tab, the maps you subscribed earlier in step 1 is being downloaded. You can also click VIEW WORKSHOP, an in-game browser will open and you can subscribe more maps. :)

6. After the download is finished, quit CSGO and exit Steam as well. Before you run JunkiesLoader.exe to play CSGO, go to Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\maps\workshop folder. You'll see some folders which name contains a unique id.

Inside each of these folder is the map file (.bsp) and 2 thumbnails. Move the map file and preview image back to maps folder and rename the image file to the same
name as the map. Example: cp_dust2.bsp & cp_dust2.jpg

7. Finally, you can play the game via JunkiesLoader shortcut. In the console window, type map [map_name] [game_mode] to load the map.
Gamemode alias: deathmatch, armsrace, demolition, casual, competitive, custom.
Example: map cp_dust2 custom

III. NOTE:
- Each time you want to run the shortcut in Steam to download maps, you have to run the registry fix first, or else the game will show a black screen and out to desktop(very fast).
- In step 6, do not attempt to load the map directly, you'll get "Steam validation rejected" error.
- If you leave the map inside its own folder in workshop and load it from there, the game will freeze. <--verification needed.

Did you forget something? Make sure you patched the game properly, if you can run it via JunkiesLoader, it will work on Steam as well.

Try re-check step 4 and 5, the main .exe for the Steam shortcut must be csgo.exe, not JunkiesLoader. And remember to run registry fix before running CSGO on Steam.

I did step by step. But the maps do not want to pull the hard;/ All Time status downloads

lol. Most of the workshop maps I got is just the simplified version of 8 classic maps (cs_italy_se, cs_office_se, de_dust_se, de_dust2_se, de_nuke_se, de_train_se, de_inferno_se, de_aztec_se) plus 2 control point maps and 1 fight yard map. I don't download custom maps bcos they don't have radar image and area names.

Didn't you read the note? "In step 6, do not attempt to load the map directly, you'll get "Steam validation rejected" error". You can't play any map while you're running no-steam CSGO on Steam. Just follow my guide and everything will be fine.

Hey khanhtruong777 , you have written that we can't play on maps when we play the no-steam version on steam . But how is that so .Pls REPLY. I can very well play the game with bots after loading it from steam. I can play with maps downloaded via the workshop and the already there maps. I don't get any error. The only problem is that EITHER it shows all the achievements unlocked and all medals are with us OR it unlocks achievements but not any medals . I play it like this only since it has less loading time , faster gameplay speed , some hints for kids ,.,.,etc etc.,.,

I don't know either. When I tried to load map as soon as it was downloaded, after the loading screen, I got thrown back to main menu with a "Steam validation rejected" message. :|

There is no Junkies Client folder, as i downloaded the recent path file from the site, i have tried all possible files but i am not being able to complete step 5, PLEASE HELP, in game it says i need to enable overlay how can i do that????

That's right, the disablesteam.reg file come with Junkies Client, but it's dead now. You can copy one of the codes below to Notepad and save it as disablesteam.reg, then double-click on it to merge into Registry.

 

For 32-bit operating system
