well...i guess Smartplay just need to update if valve is having a very big update or mayb once every few months...small updates can be ignored....for now just focus on making windows 8 playable on bot and lan....we can play online in the test server with players in this community.

1) Download Counter_Strike_Global_Offensive_Junkies.1.31.1.0

2) Download Counter_Strike_Global_Offensive_Junkies.1.31.2.0

3) Download CSGO_Junkies_PATCH.1.31.2.0

4) Mount junkies_csgo_image-1.6.img

5) Run rev.loader

6) Connect to steam

Is this the way how to install and download csgo? ^^^

If I'm wrong please correct it....

I am testing it on Windows 8.1 and works. I don't know what could be the problem. Can you completly uninstall and delete it, then reinstall apply update and then patch?

I am on Win 8 Pro X64....I can start the game but still having the Settings & Bots crash problem. (I have completely reinstalled the game)

Does the registry entry used in previous patch method be removed, if yes how?

Thanks SmartPlay :)

I can confirm that everything works and that you can play the game over a dedicated server on LAN and over the net.

@SmartPlay If you feel like abandoning this project, no one can stop you. But it does work, so that should encourage you :)

If you agree, I can upload the files necessary for the dedicated server to work. Also, if there's a demand for that.

Moreover, you don't have to update the game every time a new patch comes out. You can stay at this version and keep developing the emulator and when you're finished you can decide if you want to update the game since you'll have a working emulator and everything.

Anyway, keep up the great work!

I just Completely Uninstalled the game, and by that I mean
1. Uninstall using control Panel, 2. Deleted the leftover files, 3. deleted the registry point "Valve".
I installed the game again, it Runs Perfectly, BUT it still crashes when changing a setting or play offline,
I just want to play it!! I don't wanna play Online anymore!
I'm using Windows 8.1 Pro x64

Hey guys, I'm going to give you a quick tutorial of how to get this CS:GO version (made by SmartPlay) work.

(Do not mark this as spam!)

First you going to want to download this torrent. http://i.imgur.com/TTLKnhu.png

While downloading this torrent, don't seed any other as it will make it slower.

Once you have successfully downloaded the torrent seed it, and begin to seed your other torrents. (Optional)

Now install CS:GO by opening this file http://i.imgur.com/L55tn1t.png (Install this to the default location they set.)

After installing the file above, download this file and http://i.imgur.com/OXeQlHX.png and extract is to the same directory. If you have an installer like this http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/7950/7ks2.png then install it to the default location they set. It should be the same as the CS:GO Installer.

Once you have downloaded and installed the update, be sure to download and install the patch. Just as the above to the default location they set. http://i.imgur.com/XKFex5A.png

If you have not done so already download and install steam.

Once you have installed the patch to the correct location, download OSFMount and install it. When you have successfully installed OSFMount then go and download the img file. http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/4170/ilrv.png

Now you have finished downloading the main files. Now do the following

Open OSFMount and mount junkies_csgo_image-1.6.zip in Z: (Do as the screenshot says below)

http://i.imgur.com/WNCYFBD.png< As you can see Partition 0 is selected, do the same.http://i.imgur.com/vgPk1dA.png < As you can see it is on Z:, and it is Read-only drive, do the same.

Once you have mounted this you are done.

You can now open CS:GO from desktop shortcut, WHILST steam is running!

If you don't want to install steam there is another option.

The option is RevLoader.

Download This file.

Extract all files (Not folders) into the root of the CS:GO folder. There will be folders in the Rar file. Locate the folders in the CS:GO folder, then extract them there. There will be an option, to overwrite the files. Select yes to all. Then you should be finished!

Hope this helped!

Thx smartplay if you can't choose team stop your antivirus it's worked for me :) (avast)

It's impossible to play with skins' weapon

EDIT : i think you do a launcher with check of systeme x86 or x64 and launch .img with osfmount.com (command line) and launch the game ! When u quit the game it's unmount .img !!

Options of the launcher : change name and clan !

It will be nice for all people :)

I already do it. Mount and run game. Unmount not automatic, there are exe. Just copy to your csgo root folder.

@coyright Yes i see thx but if smartplay do a launcher "universal" it's better

You don't have to install ofsmount if he add a folder with OSFmount.com and OSFmount.sys for each system x86 and x64

The launcher do all steps automatics and if the game bug it's not because people don't mount .img or launch csgo.exe ..

I'm not good in programing, but there are check fo x86 / x64 sysem. And it mount an image automatically from OSFMount.com commands, and run the game. No need OSFMount installed.

I already follow the tutorial but still not working and I got this in gameoverlay (Set input hook...). I don't know what is this means.

When I run the csgo in the desktop it keeps blackscreen and return to the desktop.

This is my revclient report:

  Using Interface: SteamClient012
NSNet Client: Successfully initialized WinSock Subsystem.

Try opening the mounted drive and see if it opens properly. If it doesn't, that might be your problem. (for the black screen problem)

For input hook error, try updating your c++ libraries http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555
