For those who gets into problem and errors for using revemu, either ~20 minutes random crash or Windows 8/8.1 incompability, try this. SmartSteamEmu, created by maestro syahmixp from cs.rin.ru (his original thread http://cs.rin.ru/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=62935), is an alternative to revEmu, support lobby feature, and also ability to save achievements. SmartSteamEmu is more robust and stable than revemu. But at the moment, it has a small problem, that is you need to delete csgo\cfg\config.cfg everytime you want to play CSGO.

But I've packed everything you need in the download link. All credits goes to: syahmixp for the great SmartSteamEmu, SmartPlay for the CSGO CEG emu, and MadSheep to make a nice, easy to use loader. I had to rename original SmartSteamLoader.exe to CSGO-Junkies.exe for compatibility with MadSheep loader. You need a working CSGO that has been patched to v1.31.3.0. The winrar self extract will remove revemu from the game, than replace it with SmartSteamEmu. You can change your avatar by replacing the avatar.png inside SmartSteamEmu folder and change your name by editing SmartSteamEmu.ini, change PersonaName to your liking. Start the game by running start.bat, it just deletes csgo\cfg\config.cfg and runs MadSheep loader for convinience.     Hey, I tried your program, it doesn't work. You still have to manually delete the config.cfg . I think you might have set something wrong with the command prompt. PS: I used the start.bat

    Man,i need help.

    When i click the shorcut,the screen goes black,and nothing is happening.

    Click=>blackscreen=>the game automatically closes

    Is Steam running? You need steam to play from desktop shortcut! If you don't have or want steam use RevLoader :D

    Hey, hey, hey... Follow this guide I created, Should help a lot! Enjoy :)

    Hey guys, I'm going to give you a quick tutorial of how to get this CS:GO version (made by SmartPlay) work.

    (Do not mark this as spam!)

     

    First you going to want to download this torrent. http://i.imgur.com/TTLKnhu.png

    While downloading this torrent, don't seed any other as it will make it slower. 

    Once you have successfully downloaded the torrent seed it, and begin to seed your other torrents. (Optional)

    Now install CS:GO by opening this file http://i.imgur.com/L55tn1t.png (Install this to the default location they set.)

    After installing the file above, download this file and http://i.imgur.com/OXeQlHX.png and extract is to the same directory. If you have an installer like this http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/7950/7ks2.png then install it to the default location they set. It should be the same as the CS:GO Installer.

     

    Once you have downloaded and installed the update, be sure to download and install the patch. Just as the above to the default location they set. http://i.imgur.com/XKFex5A.png

    If you have not done so already download and install steam.

    Once you have installed the patch to the correct location, download OSFMount and install it. When you have successfully installed OSFMount then go and download the img file. http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/4170/ilrv.png

     

    Now you have finished downloading the main files. Now do the following

    Open OSFMount and mount junkies_csgo_image-1.6.zip in Z: (Do as the screenshot says below)

    http://i.imgur.com/WNCYFBD.png< As you can see Partition 0 is selected, do the same.http://i.imgur.com/vgPk1dA.png < As you can see it is on Z:, and it is Read-only drive, do the same.

     

    Once you have mounted this you are done.

    You can now open CS:GO from desktop shortcut, WHILST steam is running!

     

    If you don't want to install steam there is another option.

     

    The option is RevLoader.

    Download This file.

    Extract all files (Not folders) into the root of the CS:GO folder. There will be folders in the Rar file. Locate the folders in the CS:GO folder, then extract them there. There will be an option, to overwrite the files. Select yes to all. Then you should be finished!

    Hey, I tried your program, it doesn't work. You still have to manually delete the config.cfg . I think you might have set something wrong with the command prompt. PS: I used the start.bat 

    First, it isn't my program ;) I just help to pack it to make it more easier to use. Second, I forget to mention that I haven't tried the package myself, so if it doesn't work, please configure it yourself manually, I've explained the steps needed to get it done.

    You can change your name in SmartSteamEmu.ini in line "PersonaName = Change Your Name!" try connecting to server version 1.31.3.0 with the console, write "connect xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx" where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx is the server ip with the port

    If you and anyone who  have black screen and then back to desktop you have to do update windows.

    Can you have windows 7/xp, but only in that systems these works.

    Anyone using junkies version with real steam game? I have this installed on my pc and am planning on buying the game on steam as its only $4 :P so will the official game have trouble with this one?

    If you were to buy the game on steam and plan to INSTALL and PLAY the game on the PC, then I would suggest removing the install, but keeping the *Installer*
